Hello Asia Online Video Members!
Well, folks, believe it or not, I was in fact one of the web's very first "video bloggers" back in 2000 when I was a member of a small group of "DV Guerillas" on
Singlereel.com and the now-defunct Radicalzoo.com. And, then afterwards we soon started up the great
TokyoDV and below is a link to an archived front page from those very early days of 2001:

And, as you can see we had FOUR (4) complete Quicktime clips running right on the front page! Well, of course, that is
nothing compared to these days, but back then, those four little videos, were, in fact, four more than the majority of all other individual sites on the web at that time.
Well, obviously, times have certainly changed very quickly, and we have come a very long way, but the changes and advances in web video technology will happen even more quickly from now on, for sure. So now I am very happy and excited to launch this new "Asia Online Video" social network and within these forums I hope to be able to help others and also get help from some others too. I really want to make this a very user-friendly and comfortable but informative forum for sharing web video information with all members of this network. And, of course, I have many years experience behind me and I have learned a great amount, but I certainly don't know everything - no one does, and, I seriously doubt, that any one person every will "know it all" when dealing with web video and web video production and distribution technology. Therefore, it is my hope that this forum can become a valuable resource and information center and help all active members in some way or another in the ever-growing web video world.
Thank you all in advance for your participation and for providing any information that can help anyone in any way here.
Sincerely yours,
Rob Pongi
